After
winning the National Championship, Team USA competed
in the World Championship, held March 19-27 in Paisley,
Scotland, where they won the silver with an impressive
10-1 record after the round robin and 11-2 including
playoffs.
The
Mens record was 8-3 after the round robin and 8-4 after
their playoff game. The Mens Team lost a tie breaker
game which left them out of the medals. Going into this
Mens World championships the USA did not have a spot
secured in the Olympic Games and needed a great showing
in this event which the Pete Fenson team delivered.
They secured the United States with a spot in the Olympic
Games.
